Spoiler question - Yaki Storyline

I had the Yaki activate the beacon transmitter thing after placing a nav beacon in Earth.

The Xenon attacks coming into Getsu Fune always go from the Xenon gate and fly to the Void rather than routing toward Earth through the Asteroid belt. Is there some reason for this, did the Yaki story actually do anything to influence the Xenon behavior?

The Yaki story gathers a bunch of Xenon and gives them an order to fly to Earth and attack everything along the way. The behaviour of the normal Xenon should be unchanged.
