Hey

I'd like to suggest to transfer this list to a Google Spreadsheet. That way you can define categories which can then be filtered for and it'll generally be a bit easier to get an overview. :)

There is and it looks to be fairly simple. Once you have extracted the game files, look for a file called "paintmods.xml" (or similar - can't check atm) in the libraries-folder. It defines I think HSV for colors applied to the ship and you can even define a pattern which is essentially a linked text...

I think Vortex is the new in dev version. Nexus Mod Manager was the name of the old iteration. But if anything it would probably make sense for Vortex to support X4, yeah.

Nexusmods does have a downloader like that, actually. But I'm unsure what the process is to get it to support a game unfortunately.

I'm not sure about how to reduce the spawn rate but if your goal is to reduce the profit gained from the crystals, consider reducing how many are dropped per spawned crystal and the individual worth of the crystals. There is no ingame script editor. All scripting happens in the XML files.

I'm not following what exactly it is you're trying to do.

Can you describe the condition a bit more? Do you want the player to own a certain station? Or to currently be docked at a certain station? Or something else?

you changed the line number of it in the TShips.txt, probably by inserting a new Ship somewhere in the middle of it. This messes up all following Ships in the file by changing them into something diffrent. To add to this, this issue can be prevented by always appending new entries to the TShips to ...

The Mammoth issue stems from the scripts not finding a ship type ( usually referencing a non-existing one). The Mammoth is at index 0 of the TShips and if a script can't identify a ship type it returns 0. Hence the Mammoth gets used instead.
