You have to buy the licence for the missile type you want, once you've done that the stock level becomes enabled so you can update it.

I ended up just using the DC, but I might want to try setting up a trade station later. The only reason for the trade station though, would be for NPC trading ships to come buy the wares, rather than have FDN sell them via transporters... Not sure if it'd be possible to configure FDN to allow this....
