I get that the Syndicate bases its military philosophy on the tiny ship swarm, but every time I reach midgame it seems they have hundreds of fighters milling around their sectors. I have an active vision circle in the middle of Rolk's Demise that seems to be slowly moving around, however I have no asset in that location and the map doesn't show a ship in that location either.

Given that the map sectors zoom and "scroll" in order to fit what's inside them and AFAIK there's no coordinate readout in the UI, how does one determine where (0,0,0) is inside a sector?

I play modified, so I ended up popping the station then falling back through the gate where my HQ fleet and Argon Police tore the pursuers to pieces, then used a mod to put my Vigor relationship back to +10. Bless Vanilla players' patience.

Therein lies where my pain stems; I paid the 15M first, because it was the first objective given to me and the nearest objective when flying back from Leap of Faith, so using it to restore my standing was no longer an option after destroying the station.

Apologies, I meant to reply to our email but work has gotten overtop of me. This was indeed resolved for me by ditching the year-old iGPU driver provided by my laptop manufacturer and updating to ones provided by AMD; technically it updated all of the drivers associated with the CPU and chipset, iGP...
