Re: Is there a way to have 2 installations on the same PC using steam

You can copy the Steam installation that you have to a different folder and then download the no steam exe to use it to launch the game. You can get the no steam exe from here . Of course this second copy won't be automatically patched since it is not managed by Steam which is the only real trade off.

Re: How long is the Forum-Timeout

The logout timeout is a lot longer then that, especially if you have the remember me option turned on so it can survive the browser shutting down. By the looks of the cookies PHPBB is sending back it seems the sessions have a year to timeout if you have the remember me option set so the login sessio...

Re: what is this

I love that the 4th post on your first thread was a comment by CBJ, now the 4th post on a new thread 15 years later is also CBJ.
There is a satisfying completeness to that.

It remands me of the last time I applied for a job, I probably put out a dozen applications and only had 2 people respond to me, one with a rejection, the other the was an offer for an interview for my current workplace.
Sadly no responses are common these days, from both sides of the yard.

Last year I bought a Dell XPS 15 and it honestly changed my opinion on Windows laptops. Here was a device that has a very premium design, a trackpad and keyboard that are rather nice to use (for a laptop keyboard that is), an excellent 4k screen and was several hundred dollars cheaper then the simil...

That has already happened in the past for the X series. MK3 traders were originally an X2 mod that were included in the base game for X3. X3TC had many contributions from the Xtended mod team for X3R. X3AP included some modified versions of popular X3TC mods in the initial release. The X3AP 3.0 patc...

My first piece of advice for anyone buying a modern pc is to not skimp on RAM. If you can afford 16GB of RAM then I think it is always a worthwhile investment. The second most important thing is a good quality hard drive. Again if you can afford it then something with a solid state drive is well wor...

i am not aware of any limit in XR, but according to the MD Guide and because you can have more than 20 Million Credits money is stored as 64 bit integer which would put the Limit to 92.233.720.368.547.758 Credits and 7 cents (or possibly cut off at 90PCr, not sure..) 20 million? The cap of a 32 bit...

Windows doesn't allow more than one window to be active, therefor you can't have one window active on one monitor and another window simultaneously active on another monitor. It isn't that MS couldn't do it, they just chose not to. Hi, it's a little different. There can be only one window which has...

The problem most people that are rather trained in programming forget that many modders (like myself) have ZERO programming skills and still would like to keep modding without having to turn it into a full time job or require degree to do it. So I for one am glad they switched to xml verbose, but s...

So once again, prove it show me how. Remember no old school, so no Batch and no CMD. Now I don't have all the programs you have installed so this method is going to be untested for your software but it will work in theory. Assuming that all the tasks in the task scheduler are set up in the OP like ...
