I'm afraid I must, at least, upgrade my graphic card if not more…

i5-4670k 3.4GHz
16 Go DDR3/1600MHz
SSD SATA-III 6Gbs
ASUS GTX 950 - 2Gb GDDR
I would try it. The GTX 950 is not listet on NVIDIA's website but they also stated on Maxwell 1st or 2nd generation and the 950 is one.
So it may not be fully supported and you will not get a performance boost that Vulkan provides.

The 950M is there so you should at least be able to start it up. Set all your graphics to minimum and give it a run.
Save game editor XR and CAT/DAT Extractor
Keep in mind that it's still a work in progress although it's taking shape nicely.

If anyone is interested in a new save game editor for X4 and would like to contribute to the creation of one let me know. I do not have sufficient time to create it alone, but if there are enough people who want it and want to contribute we might be able to set something up.

I'm happy that i changed my config.

The CPU will be powerful enough to sustain heavy end game i think.

Since the graphics sounds awfully demanding, don't think i can run it in 4K tho.. What do you think ?

Most likely no 60fps in big battles. Maybe with performance increasing mods later on. But we all want to play performance decreasing mods anyway, don't we? The ones that add cool stuff :D

How do you know, are you a beta tester?

I hope it'll actually run well on high end systems. I rember from the XR release that there were many with high end systems which had many many issues.

Which wasn't an issue for me then. but would be an issue for me now.

I will be sitting out this generation on 1070, at least until Asus PG35VQ is out (hopefully :p). Imo should be enough to play on dual 1080p monitors with high/ultra details. Engine is the same, so the optimisation should be way above X:R.

I don't and i didn't pretend to. I'm making assumptions like everybody else around here, which is exactly what he asked for. You can save your breath.

I think Vsync and 60FPS is much more important then LVL of details. XR without Vsync = dizaster, XR: Vsync 60FPS 1080p need ~gtx1060 3gb. X4 Will be bigger and better, so 2 step bigger GPU for proper gaming?

With G-sync, few dips here and there are bearable ;)

Oh yes I will give it a try… Beside I only have a 21inchs screen 16/10 at 1980*1050 so yes it should run… I just would love to buy me a 1080Ti for chrismas to enjoy all the designs at max quality… But it is still a big budget to have it… Hope may be some discount for chrismas and the release of GTR 2080 will get down the price of it a bit...

As a owner of a 1080TI. For 1080P it's overkill.

Slightly off topic...
You want to know what graphics cards can handle 4k then you really need to take a look at this.

Nice, so the 1080TI stacks up well to the 2080. Haven't had many issues running 4k in most games. Biggest I have up till now is being forced to go 1080P because of text sizes... (Only game I had issues with was FF15 demo on 4k max everything, but only in certain cases)

i have:

Amd Fx 9370

16 Gb 1333 Ram

Radeon RX 580 Nitro+ Special Edition.

So i belief all will be fine and we dont need be worry!

Yeah, I played XR VR on a Nvidia 960 and the performance was impressive - better than the original game, in fact.
This make me wonder about X4 minimum specs.

Well XR was built for a slower engine, X4 will be built to use those extra resources they will up the detail of the graphics and the simulation. Chances are the gains will be all used up.

All things being equal, I still can't figre out if min specs are for 4K or 1080p?
Cause I'm sitting on a system that is pretty much minimum requirement, so it would make me at least a bit more relaxed if this was all stipulated for 4K. If not, looking forward to X4:slideshow
