Did the performance get worse in 1.6

i don't know but my performance get worse in 1.6 in 1.5 it was stable but now in 1.6 am losing a lot of FPS anyone got the same problem

I saw this too in the first couple of hours after the update. Back to normal now

For me after a couple of hours play it has got better ( quite a bit ) ..but do something simple for a while like a bit of mining or crystal mining and let everyrhing catch up.

Mine's much improved. The slightest of pause when I press M, and that's it. It's going way better.

From the sound of it the slowdown is to be expected due to what's running in the game, they changed something in the update that makes the performance better but if you are continuing a running game already started prior to 1.6 then the game just needs time to clear out whatever overhead that is causing the performance loss, essentially the game is cleaning itself out of whatever is causing the performance loss.

Huge (for me) FPS slowdown hit me this morning. Yesterday X4 updated to 1.6 and it was fine for my rig (I was hunting for crystals in big asteroid field, so the FPS was about 20.

Today game got another small update, and FPS fell to 8-9.

Still, I'll try to clean up the caches and check the game files later.

it happened for me in secondflash, but jump out and back in solved it, it was ok after that

The NVIDIA sound device with your graphics card in particular is known to suffer from this; if you're using that then try switching to your on-board sound, which is usually Realtek, by disabling the NVIDIA device.

Where do you disable the nvidia sound device ?

Personally I just un-tick the box for it when installing the NVIDIA graphics drivers, but you can also disable it in Device Manager.
