After two days of playing around trying to get it work I have found a fix!

If anyone else has an issue with this error close steam (from systray) and then go to the steam folder and run steam.exe with admin rights?!

Now it launches both TC and AR everytime. Strange

I can only suggest that it is either a game/Steam install issue, which you seem to have addressed, or an issue with your Steam account. Have you tried playing other Steam games since the issue? Just as a sanity check, you did not copy a modified retail TC game into the Steam folder to save download...

Try shutting down steam completly (ie make sure its not still running in the systray) then delete the ClientRegistry.blob file from the steam directory and restart it I've already tried this as well, and made sure steam wasn't listed in the task manager and even tried verifying cache files again af...

I am having trouble with Albion prelude and terran conflict through steam. Every time I try to launch both games it gives me error code 51.
