Sorry to say but the problems you are experiencing are a symptom of a bad device behind the keyboard. Let me give you an example. When you set your L turrets to attack capital ships that means stations too ... they count as capital ships. And if you want your M turrets to attack both Fighters/Capit...

Such a kind of death would not work. Look at other games that have adopted this, e.g. Empyrion in the space game genre. You CAN pick that option to respawn nearby or at a med station or whatnot ... or you load a previous save. Presumably, most players will load a previous save and not deal with the ...

It is a great weapon for battles against larger ships (M/L) but not good against S class ships. If you hit a small ship, it is scrap metal very quickly but hitting it in the first place is difficult and the time taken exposes you to incoming fire. Cobra is the only larger SPLIT ship (bar the carrier) that has any qualities as a non-player ship. The others have too little shielding and the AI does not inflict sufficient damage to make up for it. In regards to AI ships, Shields > weapons

The easiest way is to actually run some auto miners in their sectors. This will help the local economy a lot. If they are under constant attack, place a gate-blocking fleet to terminate all incoming enemies and you will see ZYA rebuild. You could also help out with build missions and resource delive...

It was introduced with 3.20, if I recall correctly. Makes for more variety in the look and feel of stations. Thanks for highlighting some tweaks. :)

From my experience, it makes a big difference which side the player is on and hence who you do missions with and sell goods to. Just comparing my last two games, the previous I was playing for ZYA and they pushed the Xenon far back. This time I am playing for FRF and ZYA is on the brink of being wip...

Actually, I used this strategy first from a very selfish point of view: I wanted a highway sector for my shipyard and noticed Pious Mist II had defence stations popping up and vanishing all the time. :D

You can easily stop HOP by claiming sectors around the ring. If there is a heavily contested sector, drop an admin station in there. Should the owning faction's admin station fall and your's s next in queue, sector will go to you and you successfully stopped HOP expansion in that direction.

Well, I claimed Pious Mist 2while PAR and HOP were fighting over it. They haven't stopped their battle and HOP and PAR are still building Defence Stations in it. So it isn't a white sector but both still show an interest.
