As a child I lived in the same street as Steve Perryman. I nearly got run over by a Sheffield Wednesday player (Regi Blinker). I met John Prescott and shook his hand (without getting punched). I met Tony Blair and refused to shake his hand when he offered it. I met Paddy Ashdown and had a conversati...

It’s hard to know how reasonable a complaint like this is, unless you can put yourself in your neighbour’s position. Maybe it really did sound loud to her, or maybe she’s making a big deal out of nothing. Or maybe this isn’t her real issue – is it possible she was already annoyed about something els...

Steve Bell is great, but Garry Trudeau is the greatest. Doonesbury is always the first thing I read in The Guardian.

As you rightly say, the contract is between you and the landlord, there is no contractual relationship between you and the agent. If you want to make a claim for breach of contract, the landlord is the person to claim against. I can appreciate why you might not be too keen on doing that, if you have...

.....When i went up a rank though and saw my first M2 in an assasination mission.. (namely a Phoenix..) suddenly my 'Cuda seemed pale and insignificant.... Now that's a challenge. :D The extra shield on the phoenix means that you can't use the single ION D to hold the shields down. You therefore ei...

Well the last time I get a Bayamon a 206 m/s which full tuning and 70-80% hull, afer reapaired, the bayamond up to 247 m/s Even more faster than a Mako :P Congratulations on your capture. :D The engine tunings you get seem to be random, like pjk says. You capture a ship, sometimes they keep a lot o...

Re: The Curse of Menelaus
if I ever see her in the space lane with one flipper up, Well... she's not riding on MY ship!!! :) Seeing as how she must have the largest stash of booze and weed in the Universe, she’s welcome to hitch a ride on my ship any time she wants. If she really is a magnet for trouble, at least I’ll be to...

I think the best XI Mission I’ve done was very early in my current game, while I was at a low combat rank, somewhere around Colonel. No Xenon capital ships, just hordes of fighters. Taking on loads of Xenon Ls with just my Orinoco (the best ship I had at the time) was pretty hard work, especially as...

if you get the specs, you cant cap any Khakk ships anymore untill you reach CA 1st grade. Ace of Aces 3rd, I think, and even it's pretty difficult. i usually find advsats a waste of time navsats can be ur best friend however. I find AdvSats are great for helping with placement when you build factor...

Re: what is your average cap rate for excorts in ass. missio
my average is 50% cap and at least 75% hull For M3s, it’s really not hard to capture 50% or more of the escorts on assassination missions, and with their hulls still in fairly decent condition. Earlier in my current game, capturing them was my primary source of income, making far more than the actu...

That would probably be because you've entered a SEN, like the one you can find in CBNW. Thank heavens for the FAQHickabooboo wrote:Woah! Is that HEN the reason my shields keep dissapearing for no reason?

Re: In some trouble at KE
What Should I Do Now is my question :? You probably don't need to do anything, except give it a bit of time. KE is a well-defended sector and an ideal location for your first SPP, I don't think I've ever had to jump in there to defend my ships or factories. If you wait a while the local sector defe...

I’ll drink to that. Too boring to keep reloading every time something doesn’t go your way, and takes away some of the fun too. There’s no excitement in capturing a Khaak M3 with its Kyons, when you know that if you fail you’re just going to keep on reloading again and again until you succeed. Thus ...

The problem with turrets, is that with an osprey it's only ever 1 BHEPT firing. That's what's so problematic. It owns everything else, but fast M6s (I'm having trouble with all of them really, just the nemisis was what made me finally post this). IMO the Osprey is quite effective at killing Dragons...

“Best M3” threads are always fun, but I don’t believe any has ever reached a meaningful conclusion (and there’s been plenty of them, do a quick search ). With the exceptions of the Falcon and Xenon M3, which are both a bit rubbish, the M3 class is well balanced IMO. They each have their strengths, a...

1. By common consent the Oddy is the deadliest M2. 2. Assuming you have high enough rank, (AoA 1st, IIRC), you could use all sorts of ships to capture a K. A while ago someone posted their technique for doing it with an Iguana. :) 3. Link for the old ultimate guide is here , but I’m not sure if ever...

Max range for the mineral scanner is about 20km. I agree with Rapier that it’s easier to use the sector map to scan a lot of asteroids quickly. But if you’re using the sector map while doing that mission then make sure you’re still staying alert to what’s happening around you, seeing as how the Khaa...
