Can you post your writeup/results in this AppDB profile? http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... &iId=25741

I've been trying to get things working on my machine, but haven't had luck yet. I'll try your methods and see what I come up with. Thanks for posting.

I haven't had any initial luck (just been playing X3AP on Win7), but I just submitted a game profile to WineHQ. I'll try to get some more detailed testing in when I get the chance, and will report my results when I do.

Have to put my own vote in for a Linux release. X3TC is the only reason I boot up Windows these days.

You will need to know your computer's IP address to the outside world, which you can get by visiting http://www.whatismyip.com - once you know your IP address, you should be able to go to any computer outside your network, and type that IP address into the web browser's URL box, along with the port ...

I do regret not having made this system use the AL plugin menus. Back when I originally came up with the idea, I wasn't too keen on AL scripts, and so I simply wrote a script that needed to be manually started. The result is that yes, you will need to restart the command everytime you start a new ga...

Forgive me if someone asked this earlier, but will it work with mods? I'm running XFP, plus a few extra ships/stations I've added myself. Just wondered if it will work. Thanks. Yes, this should work with any mod, because it uses the strings defined by the mod and the current game state, instead of ...

Removing the transparency is more involved than editing the TPlanets list. It will actually require editing the actual planet models themselves, because it a property of the models' materials to make them have the appropriate transparency and effects, etc. I know the information is available somewhe...

well, nothing's out of the question. I originally had plans to replace the PHP-based version of X3RPM with a C++ based app that would have extra features, so I wouldn't leave it out of the question to either finish or improve upon X3RPM. It all stands to whether or not I have the time to work on eve...

You shouldn't need to enable the galaxy editor every time. Once you enable it the first time, it should always be enabled after that. If not, try enabling it, then closing out before you actually use it, to make sure the game is writing the registry entries. As for the crash with the suns, I'm not s...

ships (read khaak clusters only) can *only* be broken apart, not put back together. Limitations of the actual engine.

You could simply script yourself a new Buster with the same equipment, transfer over, then destroy the old one.

You should do a search before posting. There have been many requests, and the answer is the same each time. You'd need to do more than just write a script for the G15 - it would require an X3 script to dump the info, and an external program to do any necessary data conversions.
