I never expected to have the 1.3 patch released this month. Use your common sense. Not much can be done in just 2 weeks. In the mean time, if you can't play x3, just get going and do something else other than playing games. There're tons of great titles released recently. Go and watch a movie or som...
I rather pay 100euro for a great game than 50 for something not really exciting. If egosoft would make an X3 expansion pack that would really be all that people hoped for and delivered everything that was promissed. I'd gladly pay another 50 euro. Because as it is right now I'm more enjoying X2. A ...
i stuck a amd64 system together with the components in my signature and installed XP64 as its free for 120days and its running like a river. That said, it rejected my ASUS drivers for the 6600GT and so im having to use microsofts inferior drivers resulting in some performance loss which sux a bit. ...
Could be easy to add tho. I read the intel has this program thing that scans code of source codes for developers and puts in where it thinks its need 64 bit instructions. Unless that was for hyper threading. Ah well theres a easy way to either do 64bit/ht in programs easy enough using that intel to...
@youki i only updated my chipset drivers with is a nforce 3 ultra the bios is version 1.8 but i have been running that since early this summer and thx for that command i will try it when i get the chanse and if the thing is kind enough to load windows It's most likely the driver that conflicting wi...
2) Glue the SATA to its plug - seriously. I'll tell you what, I love SATA drives but I can't stand their cables. The little cheap plastic plug is so unreliable. The plastic is so thin on the longest edges that it can warp with the changing temperatures in a PC case and eventually just stop locking ...
yes, I think thats what I am saying :P Those things are not feasable intelligently. But I am sure you can have those things as long as you accept them being as dumb as the universal traders everyone is raving about l  or you can have those things as long as the AI is allowed to cheat. such as ...
...PC Gamer mag giving X3 80% and more importantly gave some solid critism of the dire release version. Still wonder why they gave it 80% though. PC Gamer is not known for its forgiving scores if it isn't perfect right out of the box... Maybe just show sympathy to the dying space-sim genre. After a...
Sadly, as of now, nothing is really dynamic in X3. The economic is the same, if not worse, as it was in X2. There's no economic model to follow. The whole universe just feels empty. There's no life feeling in it. I really don't see any AI competitors that pose enough threat to pay attention to. Coun...
Well, the vote options are kinda vague if you ask me. I don't think any 3D modeler or programmers didn't make the proper models/programs due to lazyness. It's their job and what they're paid to do. Running out of time is a more proper option here. Bad project planning if not anything else, but again...
Cutscenes do play a part in games, especially if there's a story in the game. X3 is the first game I played where the actural game graphics is better than the cutscenes. If you don't want to involve any story in the game, cutscenes can be omitted, but if you want to sell a story, you need them.
Problem is, Egosoft are light years away from developers such as Lion Head studios. Whom, it may be said, released Black & White 1 in a condition just as ****** as X3 1.0. I don't agree about the B&W release status. Before I contiune, I'm not some fan of Lionhead, but I enjoyed their games greatly....
