I'm currently assembling a "bomber" group of heavy ships thanks to the GMS (Thanks Xai Corp), and I just realized I have no idea what missile in X3 is good for what. I'd personally like it if Egosoft added the aestethic Freespace 2 Nebulae lightning effect :) at least so nebula's have more vibrancy in them, more life if you will. I'd also like it if the lightning doesnt screw with your ship's shields or hull, but rather, to scanner range and resolution times, so...
