Re: Multiple monitor usage help
I don't know but that's an interesting thought. I wonder if some kind of magnifier might work? I imagine there are programs out there that will do what you describe but I don't know of any.

Re: Multiple monitor usage help
Well I did some searching and apparently none of the X3s (and probably X-Rebirth and X4) have multiple monitor support. I read that X2 could do it but with any later game the best you can do is spread the game over many screens to make one big screen. I did look for an option to do that but I can't ...

[X3:TC] How do you have your gamepad setup?
Hello guys, I wondered if I could get some help with setup up my gamepad controller and working out what the best button layout might be. I am using an 8bitdo Pro 2 controller. So at the moment I have: Left stick: Strafe Right stick: Stearing Left click/left paddle: Brake to stop Right click/right p...

[X3:TC] How to start building an empire?
Hello, I was trying to build an empire and I'm kinda stuck. Essentially I don't know where to start putting stations. I used the Terran start and I have completed the plot. I have the Terran M6 that you get as well as the M3 and I have a Split Mamba Raider, and a Caiman Super Freighter XL. I also ha...

Ship names
Hello, I've been struggling to find good names for my ships so I wondered what do people name their ships? For frieghters I currently have: For general use: Ramming Speed (Split Super Freighter XL) For weapons and resuply: Alfred (Standard Mercury) For fighters: For exploration and general fighting:...

Re: X3TC Starburst Shockwave Cannon
The Terran economy in TC is broken, and requires the player to intervene to keep everything stable. One effect of this broken economy is that the game will delete stations that are not producing due to lack of resources. There's actually a thread in this very forum that details exactly what you nee...

Re: X3TC Starburst Shockwave Cannon
I've been able to find a SSC forge in the Mars sector but I haven't been able to find any in the Jupiter sectors. It's also possible that there are more and that I have missed them because the Terran sectors are huge. I looked at my other sectors and I haven't found any there but I'm not sure how we...

Re: [X3TC] What kind of ship do you prefer to fight in?
Yeah the Vidar seems to be a good option and is very tanky. It's a little on the slow side but tanks always are and it also is limited as to what weapons I can put in it. I've also been looking at the Split ships and kinda want the Split Tiger M7. Yeah the Paranid M7 is also a possiblity. What I'm t...

Re: [X3TC] What kind of ship do you prefer to fight in?
Yeah that's a point. Sometime I forget how much jump energy the bigger ships use. 20 per sector will add up quickly plus you need to consider the space shields and weapons take up. Edit: I have had this issue with paranid M3s in X3:Reunion. Great ships and PSGs can be fun in pirate sectors but if yo...

Re: [X3TC] What kind of ship do you prefer to fight in?
Yeah cost is something I should have considered here (and also rep). I think the most I'm likely to be able to buy at the moment is an M3. That said there are a few interesting options in the M7 class, especially those with a hangar bay. the split panther looks like a good option slightly faster tha...

Re: [X3TC] What kind of ship do you prefer to fight in?
Yeah if I remeber rightly in X2 the M6s were fast but less maneuverable but still a capable ship. When I tried using a M6 in X3:R I found them to be slugglish and needed to rely in the turrets for most combat unless you are against something slow so I generally prefered a M3 which could out maneuver...

[X3TC] What kind of ship do you prefer to fight in?
X3 Terran Conflict is certainly a bit more hard core then X3 reunion. I attacked and captured one of Duke's dangerous meterial transporters and then tried to send it to a shipyard and it got most of the way through the sector and then was destroyed by pirates. So I jumped in to seek vengeance for th...

Re: [X3R] Do asteroids respawn?
Is it weird that I am now imagining some kind of diety going round replacing asteroids and chuntering about how he put them there for a reason but can't remember what it was? Maybe I have read to many Terry Pratchett books because that seems like a Pratchetty sort of thought. Also if it is a Terry P...

Re: Is game registration required? (GOG.com)
Yeah I seem to recall most of the downloads needing you to register your game but that was a long time ago. Things have changed a bit since then. I remebered it being required to have your game registered but I couldn't remember why. Thinking about it the biggest concern there would probably be stuf...

Is game registration required? (GOG.com)
Hello, I just wondered what the rules are on game registration as in do need to register my game or is this a thing of the past? I am aware that it is needed for the copy protection removal on steam games which is understandable but other than that do I actually need to register my game? I ask becau...

Re: [X3R] Do asteroids respawn?
I think you may be right on that one. Yeah putting a station on it seems to be the best way of getting rid of it.Alan Phipps wrote: ↑Mon, 20. Feb 23, 23:03IIRC in X3:R, the only way to tow an asteroid was with a mine station on it (so full map asteroids only), and then it wouldn't ever respawn after getting the mine station anyway.

Re: [X3R] Do asteroids respawn?
I can't be sure but I think they respawn roughly where they were and have the same yield but I'm not 100% on that one. I do have a vague memory of towing an asteroid so it didn't respawn right next a station but it was many years ago. That is for X3 Reunion, I have no idea about X3 Terran Conflict. ...
