Re: Coronavirus: COVID-19
felter,,
You just met the nasty realities behind a Covid response that's became so politicized that the only real procedures being followed are being made up at the local level and nobody involved wants to really face making them public for fear of an ugly backlash.

Re: What are you watching now ? Movies and TV
All 7 episodes are now posted on YouTube.
If you search for "Atropa" you'll see dust had it in production for 3-4 years so we DUST fans had a long wait, but it was worth it.

Re: What are you watching now ? Movies and TV
I've been watching the new Dust (and Netflix) series
"Atropa"
Excellent Sci-Fi and "who/what done it".
Thankfully all the episodes are posted on YouTube each time a day after streaming on Netflix.

My score at present is 5 (that's right) Five vaccinations and 0 antibodies. I'm in the US Veterans Administration health care system and am undergoing Monoclonal Antibodies treatment. Surviving a bone cancer left me with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in my right shoulder and arm. That and treatments for...

Re: Linux for gaming, is this a good time to jump the windows boat?
This might be a bit outside of just the gaming issue, but touches on the larger issues concerned with Linux OS(s). This is about using linux virtual machines to run older versions of the Windows OS and the trouble it caused me. It's a precautionary take (or should be). At one point I was running Lin...

Re: Random News not worthy of own thread
Since the site changed it's look and format a few years ago I was more or less shut out . Now that's all changed and though my vision is hardly any better the technology needed to see, read and participate in the site once again has me able to really appreciate how different this site is from most o...

Hate to double post, but my particular field lost one of their greats. Architectural Designer I. M. Pei. You know his work, especially the glass pyramid in Paris. He was past 100 so it was neither sudden nor unexpected. Almost the opposite that can be said of his works. I. M. Pei Documentary: https:...

Re: Trump
At this point you just have to ask the question: "What Constitution?" Seems the Constitution of the United States that lawmakers have sworn to uphold and "defend from all enemies foriegn and domestic" not to mention a thousand lesser laws and statues mean less than if they were writ on toilet paper ...

Yeah he was a regular at the cons and loved fans (which some who I won't mention) tended to avoid them.
Thanks for fixing the BBC link. I'm a bit shakey at the moment.

Whilst on my back getting over the flu, I read the Meuller Report and then watched yesterdays dog and pony show of our Senate Judiciary Committee questioned our Attorney General. Usenko asks: Have I got this right? If not, where have I got it wrong? Looks good to me. Except the part about the shut down merely being a ploy to divert the media from the fact that Trump's a stooge for Putin and most of his minions are in orange jumpsuits and everyone in the the USA except a mino...
