Thanks for your help.
This seems to have been a temporary bug then. Today the exact operation that didn't work last time just works.
I guess I will keep a look at it and report it as a bug once I have more information.

Issues with building stations
Hello, I have tried to add modules to my HQ multiple times, but I have never been able to fully figure it out. For example: Why can I not add this module onto this port? I have rotated it, and it does snap, but it turns red and disconnects after snapping. https://data.moto9000.moe/m/20231220231319_1...

Re: Horrible performance on Linux
A little update: Upgrading to an Intel i9-14900K and an Intel A770 has the game run a lot better. Worst case scenario (in True Sight) I get more than double the FPS. The map is now butter smooth. Changing graphics settings has quite the impact now as well, suggesting that the game is now GPU bound i...

Re: Shader cache directory?
I am being hopeful and assuming that those NVMe error counts are from me having to press the reset switch when X4 causes a black screen. I had opened an issue for the GPU hangs: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/10315 Thanks for the info. Deleting ~/.config/EgoSoft/X4/STEAMID/pipelin...

Shader cache directory?
Does X4: Foundations have its own shader cache on Linux? Or is there something equivalent other than `~/.cache/mesa_shader_cache`? I have been running into an issue where my system will black screen when playing X4 for prolonged periods of time. ( https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/10...

Re: Horrible performance on Linux
Performance is still pretty low, but I think I know what the difference between now and January 2022 is now. So I was streaming the game (using MPEG1) and even though that only uses 50% of a single thread, the framerate improved by 5-10 FPS. I get ~13 FPS with the map open now. I assume that the res...

Re: Horrible performance on Linux
Performance will depend on quite a number of factors, so we are going to need a lot more information to be able to offer you any relevant advice. The sticky thread at the top of the forum tells you the information we need. The only thing you can ignore in that list is the DXDiag, for obvious reason...

Horrible performance on Linux
I just got the new Kingdoms End expansion only to find out that the game is barely playable for me right now. Last time I played was January 2022, and while I remember the game not running amazingly smooth, it did run a lot better. Some info about my system: Debian Testing amd64 with Cinnamon (X11) ...

I got the same issue when zooming in the map. I open the galaxymap and when zooming in to a certain point the game freezes for some time and then becomes all colorful. I use a logitech mouse with unify, so I tried a non unify mouse and the effect is still the same. The game is more playable with this mouse but thats just because of the friction. The movement ingame is still quite fast. It might also be of interest that slowing the mouse via xinput does not work no...

Window mode actually makes the cursor slower and smoother in menu. (moves just as on my desktop) Ingame (when piloting) the cursor is quite "stuttery" again. I didn't notice any difference between fullscreen and windowed mode. The movement seems obviously multiplied. When moving my mouse as low as p...

Could somebody tell me how to make the mouse pointer slower? X3 Reunion makes the cursor REALLY fast which makes aiming almost impossible even with fighting software. I tried configuring the xinput, but this does not have any effect on the game. The setting takes effect on other steam games though. ...

Just noticed that the achivements aren't working for me. Will that be fixed? Also is it normal for the game to have a lag spike whenever I look at something with many unloaded objects? (mainly when entering a sector) Never played X3 TC with this pc on windows so i can't really compare it. I am using...
