You can't target something that isn't there, but in the 7.00 Public Beta, the next available target is now automatically selected when the current one is destroyed.

What would prevent your post from being a "+1" would be if you provided your DXDiag, so that we could see whether your systems had anything in common.

Updates aren't going to solve this, I'm afraid. It's something at your end. If the dropdown is only showing legacy versions, then one way or another you've not activated the Public Beta. What happens when you enter the Public Beta password that's given in the instructions, and hit Check Code?

Please report one issue per thread as requested in the forum rules. Mixing different issues up in the same thread pretty much guarantees some of them will be missed.

This was an issue with 7.00 Beta 1 which has subsequently been fixed, but we've not yet added the code to clean up any ships that started smoking in Beta 1 and haven't yet stopped. Please confirm that the ship was damaged in Beta 1.
