I have added a stripe of white back to the Teladi E ships now as well.
Please have a look in the next build, if that makes them fit better to the rest of the ships.

As we can see taste is a very personal thing.
There is no way to make it optional, as its tied to the ship geometry.

I have added a small arrow geometry into the holograph of the module in the editor. It points into the diretion the deck is facing.

If you zoom in to the module in the build menu, you should see the room as a holo display on top of the penthouse. Based on this display, you are able to see the direction the room is facing. There is currently a bug, that the room is displayed rotated by 180° compared to the real position in game. ...

It should be placeable.
Could you try enabling "allow module overlap" in the settings of this menu (cog wheel in to upper right hand side) and see if you can place the module then?

Now i need to know why do you need to select them while flying your ship? Do you need to select them only in third person view, or is there a reason you would need to be able to select them in the cockpit view as well? For various reasons. It's strange if you can select elements of other ships but ...

Just as a side note: I played this mission in beta 2 and did not get stuck, so its not a always reproduce able issue.

This has been resolved for the upcoming build (beta 3). Though i have to say that on both of my monitors here the cut off line is almost invisible. Maybe check if your monitor is not set to a wrong gamma or it otherwise not properly calibrated, it might have made the issue more visible than it usual...

There is a button on the left handside railing you can interact with to call the elevator.
As this button was not obvious enough, i remodelled it and made it a dedicated panel. Hope its more visible now.
