Did a new game start ' Untested explorer* Flew to the Void and picked up the abandoned drill there. flew that to two grand and tried to click and target astroids from the cokpit. Same behavior. So dosnt seems to be tied to game start.

My distance from the astroid is ca exactly 1,8 km in the save provided. dosn't help to fly close enough to scrape ships paint onto the rock either :P

How are you trying to target them? Are you clicking on them or pressing the hotkey (default is T)? Simply by clicking on them. as i can click on the discovery parked nerby it will get targeted. but not the astroids. It works fine other places ive tested, like Second Contact flash point. but for som...

In two grand I'm unable to target astroids for mining from cocpit view, radar and map allows targeting. Intended, pretty sure it's been this way since release. L ships aren't affected as much since they start out massing so much that the additional mass of a full hold isn't as noticeable. Ah, cool. I've not seen this affect L miners so I think this isn't intended behavior. Noticed during misson that my Drill got dramatical incresead stopping distnace with full cargo hold. an increas from 10km stopping distance to almost 40km when full stop out of travle mode. Also ship seems a bit more sluggis...

Sounds similar to these reports . Yes, quite big bang disabeling the ship in Silent witness. still any sane captain would not want to intentionally fly trough an astroid but rather try to avoid such collisions. Thanks for pointing this to me, didn't show up on my search as i was focused on the ship...

Iv'e experienced this also. loading savegame fixes the issue.

Ship seems to not realize it have undocked, landinglegs remain extended and speed is capped to 49m/s.

Confirming filesystem issue related to XFS. When starting from /usr/share/games/Steam on a BtrFS partiton it works as a charm.

Thanks for pointing this out to me :)

Now thats an ugly one for XFS ;)
