Aggressive Khaak M3s eat CPU cycles
Almost everytime I'm in a sector where a Khaak M3 is rampaging, every 3 to 5 seconds the frame rate will chug to the point of a slideshow and lasts for 1 or 2 seconds, returns to normal, then repeats. I say CPU cycles because it's obviously not a graphics issue, since they can be clear across the se...

Wheat is not needed for player owned stations. Correct me if I am wrong, but does not the "Solar percentage" just change the timing and not the amounts? Ah, that's right, secondary resource and such. That's correct, the amount remains same, but the cycle time decreases with more sun and increases w...

Not to pick at nits, but you left Delaxian Wheat (for Cahoonas) out of the equation and assuming the SPP is located in a 150% sun sector (or better) a single crystal fab will not supply 100% of the needed crystals, more like enough for about 6 and half minute of operation, so you have another (exter...

I've done exactly that in Lucky Planets, a Boron SPP chain. You'll need - BoGas factory - 1 TP BoFu factory - 2 TP Crystal Fab - 3 TP, one of which needs XL cargo capacity for silicon SPP - 1 fast TP or Split M4 for Crystals (your crystal fab won't cover 100% of it's needs) The BoFu will consume pre...

That's one of my personal aggravations as well, it pretty much relegates my Nemesis to "must destroy" targets like Khaak. I'm not so certain tho that the turrents are targeting the captured ship, it may be they are targetting the ejected pilot who is quite near it when he bails. Whatever the case, a...

I disagree. --snip-- Are you addressing my post? I'll assume so. Sorry, but if a sector of the economy is too profitable (as in game balance) you do not rectify it by arbitrarily limiting the resources available to it. You do it by adjusting the proft margins (as was done with energy last patch, bu...

each Crystal Fab requires 1 Cahoona Bakery, 2 SPPs require 3 Crystal Fabs And right there is the root of much of the economic ill in the game. Crystals are not an end chain product, they are a support product. Any factory producing support products needs to be able to supply AT LEAST 2 other factor...

You may want to rethink buying an Alpha PPC. I tried one on a Split Dragon, a Gamma HEPT actually performed alot better. About the only thing the PPC had going for it was extended firing range. Compared to the Gamma HEPT, it did less damage, fired slower, consumed more energy and took up alot more c...

ATI 9800 Pro, Cat. 3.9 drivers - I just got done playing around with alot of different settings. The one setting that made the single biggest difference for me was forcing vertical sync to ON . For me, everytime the camera panned from the opening menu screen to the load screen, I would get this hest...

True head-to-head stat comparisons can only be made if you also include how much energy is consumed per shot, for it to be meaningfull. That way you can work out a sustained fire rate per ship type based on it's power generator rating, which in turn will give you a Damage per Second rating for ship ...

Sinclair4217: did you apply the 1.1 patch ? Yes, I hadn't even visited this sector pre-patch. As shawnchesak says, it sounds like an ongoing problem with the SPPs in Light Water ( I didn't know they had a specific problem pre-patch). Accordingly, I'm going to change the subject title to more accura...

I dont know if its posible but perhaps the race owned SPPs in that sector have sell to other races off, or perhaps they are out of stock. if it is neither of these then a work around would be to tell your freighter to buy e-cells then designate the 9cr factory, that is buy wares not best buy wares....

Problem with NPC SPPs in sector Light Water
Sector - Light Water I plopped down a SPP, BoGas and BoFu factories. Within this sector is are two NPC SPPs, both (at the time noted) selling energy for 9cr. My own SPP is somewhat stocked on energy, sell price @ 22cr. I don't want to buy from my own SPP just yet. I set my BoGas energy buy at 21cr m...

Regarding the input controller values resetting - The values are stored in the registry, HKLM\SOFTWARE\EgoSoftware\X2. Bug? - No west jump gate in sector Dark Waters
In the far south west is a sector named Dark Waters. On the Universe map a trail is shown going west from it, but I've flown way to the west following the along western ecliptic line and cannot find a gate. I even dropped an Advanced NavSat where it should be and it still doesn't show up, either vis...

Energy min/max prices have been changed. Minimum sell price is now 8 Maximum sell price is 23 My SPPs where set to sell at 25, I had to go in and bump them down to 22 (the patch did not set them to 23 or less). Since it doesn't appear that Crystal prices have changed, everyone's SPPs are about to be...
