Cedega is basically the new name for WineX. When you run the game, instead of trying to link to non-existance DX9 libraries, it links to its own emul libraries.

I might be wrong here, but: isn't it just a case of running the economy in one thread, and then haveing the visuals run in a second thread, and letting the operating system deal with the actual details of allocating the computational resources? Of course you would have to deal with the complications...

If you think about it, a 1.6x increase is actually pretty good, it holds up against single cards that cost the same as 2 6600GTs, and the extra advantage for me is that i can have 2 fanless silent cards rather than one powerful noisy one.

Just a sidenote: I get the instability with and without SLI, so there is some other part of my system causing the problem. The actual performance increase with SLI in X2 isn't that great, you only notice a large difference on the graphically intensive scenes of the benchmark. On the simple scenes it...

im running SLI on an asus a8n-sli deluxe. X2 works with SLI, however it does crash occasionally.

Expansion is a long way off, it will be a seperate purchase.

There is a 1.4 patch coming out soon (see thread at top of forums), this is said to have many major advancements.

Manta's are generally respected to be the best trade ships. However their cargo are being bought down to L size in 1.4. The best crystal runner is probably the iguana, as it can get crystals when it sees them very quickly.

I was in the same position, i had an elephant and wanted something bigger. I chose the mammoth because i wanted the biggest TL so i could brag about it at the pub.

I use a collossus to hold all my freighters though, just bulk buy 40 at a time or something.
