All is well, I (belatedly) read the readme, and managed to change the script to not use popups (although it cost me my log, it got up to 24 meg before I turned off the verbose mode, and took 45 seconds to load, scary for a text file), and not be verbose.

I must admit a craving for a huge cap ship weapon that could fire an armor piercing/shield busting slug the size of a greyhound bus at near-relativistic velocities. A rail gun, or Omega Mass driver. Anyhow, something I could use to snipe ships at very long distances, say 10km or so. Just my fantasy....

patrolling with multiple ships

I'm getting good sucess out of setting one of the ships on patrol to 'Patrol homebase sectors' and then telling it's escorts to 'Protect that ship'. A corvette as the first ship works well, I must say, soaks up the damage while the m3 escorts anhiliate the khaak.

Thanks, I had read it, but after carefully re-reading, I managed to get most of the buttons to work correctly, except for the SellBest Improved, which I think I can cobble together an xml for. Got the other two scripts corrected via the copy and paste method, apparently not recomended, but workable....
