Re: Abandoned/Derelict ships and locations

Hi, With regards to the Courier Vanguard in Nopileos' Fortune 2. Mine was not where shown on the screenshot in the OP. Mine was much further out passed the highway. I jumped onto the highway going North-East and just shot off the end of it and out into the void and happened to come across it after t...

Re: [3.20 b1 hf1] Mouse steering and interaction menu

Hi, sorry to Necro this thread, but did you ever find a solution to this?
I'm in the same boat.
I would love to remap the scroll up/down the menu to my mouse wheel when i'm in the interaction menu as its usual function (throttle) is disabled.

WOW thank you for your post, amazing detail! Unfortunately i'm still unable to resolve my issue, however i am, thanks to your post, better able to describe it. I have the Quick Menu bound to a button on my Throttle, upon pressing the button the orange Quick Menu appears and will remain on the screen...

Thank you for your guide, very helpful.

I'm having some difficulty using the quick menu.
My joystick X56 stick navigates the option wheel but i dont seem to be able to select anything despite having set what i think i can see is the menu select option to my trigger (enter).

Any ideas?

A Letter to Egosoft's Developers

Hi, I have a lot of love for you guys, you have given me years of amazing gameplay, I have been a loyal fan for many years and have played all of your X series games. So please read what I'm about to say knowing that I write it with no malice or scorn, I'm a fan, not a troll and I care deeply about ...

Listen i'd like to add, for what it matters, I appreciate what you attempted here, walking around in our ships and stations has long been a request on these forums, and the demand for the removal of what some (not me) thought of as overly complicated menus and interfaces has been around just as long...

Thoughts from an old X'er

As you can see by my start date, I have proudly bought and played every X Game to date, in fact i've bought most of them twice (originally upon release and again in the Steam Superbox). Based upon previous experiences I have a lot of faith in Egosoft, each and every game of theirs i've played has be...

X3 AP - Eyefinity, FOV and Movable UI

Hello, I lucky enough to own 3x24" widescreen monitors which i have set up through Eyefinity to give me a lovely widescreen display. Lots of games now come with support for this increasingly popular type of set up, and X3AP does appear in part to be one of them. I have the game currently running on ...

Upcoming Online Space Combat/Trader Sim

The upcoming Space Combat/Trader "Star Citizen" is still at least a year away, but still looks very interesting. Offering a online persistent universe as well as off-line play for those who like modding or simply don't wish to risk being shot at by other players outside of the games safe zones. It's...

has no one here played silent hunter? I imagine the system will be something similar to SH5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HscHJooBflc Its going to be more like Freelancer's NPC interaction on Stations, with a stationary camera (sort of like the early Resident Evil maybe). They have stated that it ...

Anyway slightly off topic here. I would just like confirmation that the reason they have gone with the one player ship (ala XBTF) rather than the multiship (ala XT, X2, X3R, X3TC and X3AP) is directly related to the fact that they think the current menu system is off putting for new potential custom...

X2 The Threat - Dual Monitors - Wn7

I know this guide: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/dual-display-gaming-bigs,759-6.html does not work on Windows 7. I have tried u...

In say StarTrek, you don't (usually) see Captain/Admiral Kirk actually steering or accelerating the Enterprise, but it does always seem to go more-or-less where he wants it to go. Also he has pretty much the same forward view as the helmsman available to him whether in his command chair or at a rem...

I think I may know what your problem is. I'm unsure about X:BTF but in the X3 series there is an option for the the ship to automatically level out. Check your control options and see if this is available, and if so, turn it off. :) No it's something i also considered for the barrel roll issue but ...
