Finally made AoA1 :D I managed to cap 2 Xenon K's on my 1st "save me" mission. The first had all its' shields and 60% odd hull, the second only 28% hull and 10 GIRE's. Go figure! iirc, you can get them to clone themselves by finding one in a station, and just sitting there.

It's exactly the same answer I'd give you for "which is the best M2/M3/M4/M5".

They all have their good points, and their bad points. There is no "best".

Decide what it's primary use will be, then go from there.

Well. I just spent the last god knows how long changing the "waits" in my trading scripts from "wait random 7000 to 15000", to "wait random 20000 to 30000", in the hope of upping performance. It certainly had an effect. After I'd manually restarted 50 odd ships, performance has degraded by a factor ...

Does anyone know the minimum interval between the Xenon shipyard spawning, and ships being produced? 1 min, 30 seconds, 10 seconds? I have an attack script with an infinate loop in it, and I'm increasing the wait between loop iterations for performance reasons. What I don't want, is to set it too lo...

Depends on your combat rank. There can be zero, one, or two Js (don't think it goes higher than 2 but I could be wrong).

Thanks for the feedback. So, basically, although waits will make the script run slower, they'll make the game run faster? Well, not faster , but less slow than without them. My concern about tasks and script restarts is this. script "a" does a start task on script "b", same as in the patrol scripts....

I think you're talking about extended ship information (as used by patrol and BPH).

A nice thing would be, if you could get it to do all the ships in a sector.

That way, I couls get a TL, packed to the gunwalls, send it to wherever, then have a TS transfer the relevant kit to each ship.

Rinse and repeat.
