Installed the new SB Live! drivers, same thing still happening. Anyone have any more ideas?

I play world of warcraft and other games with no sound issues.

Its always the same zones that make the sound. I have listened to all the MP3s from the soundtrack folder and none of them exhibit this behaviour.

Downloading the SB card drivers now, will give it a go and get back to you

Ok , went the whole hog to get this game working:

Reinstalled Windows
Recode Mp3s
Make sure that MP9 codec on top

Now everything works nicely, no crashes BUT I get this screeching noise in some stations and some zones.

What can I do?

I now have a new problem that started when I got it working this way. Some zones I enter and some places I dock at has a terrible scratching noise instead of the music. I cannot turn it down, it stays till I go through a gate to another place or undock. I went and listened to everyone of the sounds ...

got frequent crashes as I started
turned down ALL my graphics
now it only freeze crashes as I enter Red Light on mission 1, every time.
