Does that SETA rule mean simply sitting in space without touching anything? It doesn't include having your ship on autopilot?

Basically, your combat rating goes down over time if you aren't engaged in combat. SETA use between stations will be negligible, as the pirate/xenon/khaak fighting will negate it.

I have a Geforce 6800 GS in my main computer, although only a 9600 in this one (I'm about to see how this machine plays X3). The 6800 is working fine for now, although I might upgrade once the next line of cards comes out (X3xxx, Geforce 9xxx).

Really? Autopilot has never smacked me into anything. Save for running down a TS or two when I'm in my TL. Thanks. I got it working. I find it a bit odd that none of my ships (Pirate Warlord) have SETA, but it's very cool nevertheless. Seeing my own ships flashing beam weapons into space is awesome.

An extra 64mb on top of 256 won't make a real difference, and the decrease in speed would probably be worse (as it WOULD underclock to the 64's speed). What's the speed of the Pentium 3 (because a 1.8ghz Pentium 3 is faster than a 1.8ghz P4)? And I'm not familiar with Hercules cards.

I just want to say that if you're deciding between X2 and X3, I'd just get X3 at this point. They're pretty similar, but X3 has a more beautiful, faster engine, better features, and is more user-friendly (customizable controls, better interface).
