If you're having problems finding an advanced sat, I got one in the Avarice sector at the new Teladi trading staion that spawns there. Maybe I just was lucky, but I suspect that it may be set up that way for plot reasons.

There's also a "Product Locator" script that will tell you where to find a particular item or ship.

A list isn't all that useful, as everyone's "universe" is different. After the start, stations are constantly being built and destroyed.

The "Target Nearest Enemy" button will usually pick up the missile. If not on the first try, then keep hitting it. Sorry, my keys are mapped to the j-stick, so you'll have to look it up.

You could just park the TL somewhere and finish the plot. You're near the end anyway - sort of. IMHO, the plot is best completed (it's lame) so you can get on with the real game. Beats losing such a big investment.

And, yes, you will want to get your own TL ASAP.

Just to clarify, fighters on a TL (or carrier) will only protect the TL if they (the fighters) have the TL assigned as their "homebase". Otherwise, they'll just stay docked when the TL is attacked. For mining in X2, definitely get the Paranid Demeter. It mounts the mining laser in the bow, and so it's much easier to use than the Vulture, which has the laser in the rear. At your stage in the game, though, you might not have access to Paranid stations, I think.
