Mining drones mk2 bumping instead of docking?

I swear I had done mining with ships accompanying me in previous versions of the game and Surface Miner URV MK1 were working perfectly but recently I re-tried with the latest patch and all DLC's, this time with Surface Miner URVs mk2 and they just can't seem to dock to their mother ship properly bumping and bumping and bumping again.

I'm trying with two ships, a FedHelm and a Vulture.

I have a few mods, but none who touch the drone specs that I know of, "Cargo Drone Plus" maybe?

I'm just seeking confirmation, is there a know problem with mk2 or mk1 surface miners? or 4.0 is bugged or...?

whatever you guys can provide from experience to know if its vanilla behaviour or I should look for mods causing it.
