Live and 7.00 Beta 4 HF 1 - Suggestion - Directions to...

Post by YorrickVander » Sun, 5. May 24, 16:44

Currently in game, we can ask a friendly(ish) npc for directions. This is quite handy for new players especially, making sense of the now quite large X universe. While I appreciate there is limited space on the conversation menus, it would be a nice and hopefully straightforward addition to the vanilla game to offer directions to npc trade stations too. Exploring every sector fully takes quite a lot of time so all assistance to commercial resources out of the gate are good for the trade minded among us.

Again, feature requests do not belong in the Public Beta Feedback forum. Moved.

Exploring by chatting with NPCs sounds more difficult than simply sending a scout around a sector to me. The scout might miss a station or two, but that's not that big of a deal. If you really want to get them all, get in the scout yourself - you're better at looking out the window than an NPC. (Eventually, you can shell out a few million and the faction leader will give you the location of every station in the faction.)
