Enhanced modding support?

What does it mean in terms of crating mods/scripts/addons? Also will there be a compatibility between previously released scripts from TC/AP. I mean general and simple scripts that work well both in TC and AP.

It means that there are many more things that can be controlled using scripts or the MD. In general, scripts and missions written for X3TC/X3AP should work in X3FL, provided they don't rely heavily on certain things such as the exact gate layout.
