buy a new ship or buy a factory

whats the difference between s/m/l ships? is it the hull?

I can reccomend a factory.. but only if you got atleast 1 tp or ts class ship.

s/m/l means the shields and weapons that come with the ship.
s = 1mw shield, no weapons
m = good shields, avarage weapons.
l = best shields, best weapons.

If you get an SPP, make sure you have at least a TS ship so you can fit the XL crystals. Until you make enough for another ship, you will have micromanage it to buy or sell stuff so that the SPP stocked ok on crystals.

Myself I got an TP to deliver solar cells and another TP afrter.

After that I got a TS to serve my new SPP, but I am considering trying an M4 now to capture some ships.

BTW, ideally you will have 2x TP and 1x-2x TS for a power plant depending on availablity of crystals.

300K isn't really enough to do anything yet. While technically you have enough to get a factory, I would wait 100K more before actually starting.

Keep in mind, there isn't just the factory to buy. You have to pay the transport to move it to where you want (roughly 5K per gate), you have to buy transports to buy and sell (about 100K each for S model) and you need starter funds to supply to your station (50K at least).

I had 427K exactly when I started, and it was tight.

i tried doing the station thing having like 800,000 but i keep losing money than getting back : ( so i opped to getting a nova instead

Crystals are only M freight and any TP can hold them.

Plus if its XL freight and you dont need to have a ton of it caried at once just get the Boron Manta it can haul XL freight.

it comes with stock 1000 cargo which is a much better deal then buying a slow TS and spending 100,000k upgrading the cargo hold.

manny020: Dude read the post before you put yer junk here. I was saying that there's no way an SPP can lose money unless you are selling your energy for under 13-per-unit.

It appears to you that you are losing money, but you porly have 300k of cash stored in crystals in yer fab.

Each cycle I think 276 cells and 2 crystals
At max crystal price - 1900*2 = 3800. If you are selling for 14-per-unit (I sell at 23 now and my stock is never full or empty) you get 3800 back at that price... Now you have to be a total idiot to sell below 14 or buy crystals 1800

No you need crystals to make NRG

Just got my first SPP, I put it in Red Light, had a little over 350,000 when i got it, not really enough i still have some money left so im trying to save up for a TS or TP, but the Khaak are all over the place in Red Light so i may have to get a better fighter.

Not got much of a chance against an M3 Khaak ship when im still in a Disco

i stuck a SPP in the nebula sistem (north of argon prime) and it keeps makeing money slow pace but sofar i have 2 transports spp and a ship hehe but i havent played all that much either
