Are their homebases only your stations or the Ai's aswell?

If u give a UT a homebase, it draws fund from and deposits into that station's coffers.

No homebase = draws from personal funds
Homebase(station) = draws from station funds

And you can't select an NPC station as a homebase. For any ship. Period.

Well think of it like you are taking money out of a stranger's bank...
Your transport ship is you, and the NPC base is the stranger's bank...

In my society that's called stealing...but i guess in X2 it could be different...

It does seem like a your ships should be able to work for an NPC station and still draw on your account. "Independant Contractors", right?

It depends if you want funds randomly drawn at any time from your own account (fine if keep loads of cash there) and prefer the same to happen from a station (which may affect its production if it is strapped for cash).

The Universe Trader is a plug-in for registered users only however.

My 4 UTs are all set to have a silicon mine as their homebase - transferring money isn't a problem as you can use the transfer money option in the slot to set it to around 10 million credits, this way the UTs get enough money to trade with and the system automatically transfers any funds over this amount into your personal account
