is this just me or are some of the prices just to much

example i noticed was the trading software level 1 and 2 not to bad but then level 3 software was over 50000 admitidly i am fairly on in the game but stuff like missiles seem expensive

Trading Software MK1/2 are 'non-profitable' extensions, whereas MK3 actually helps you generate profits. That will be why there is such a price difference.

Missiles are expensive but that is good because I only sell them

The MKIII trading software is actualy over 500000cr and yes some things in X2 do seem very expensive especialy at the begining of the game, but the MKIII is very special too, it allows you to turn a ship into an Autotrader which will work tirelessly to make profits for you in any sector you choose, some sectors dry up quickly but others are real money earners.

For me spending a couple of million, now that I own 14 factories, is (almost) small change. So it does get much easier and some folks playing this game have over 100 factories, I wonder what they now consider to be small change.

Well I usually have ~100,000-600,000 on hand and when it gets a little low I just scoop up the earnings of power plant five.

The only thing that ends up as expensive is destroyers, carriers (and to a lesser extent TLs but most people only need one).
