Need Confimations On My Energy Loop

Post by Cobraking001 » Tue, 30. Nov 04, 19:40

I worked out that the basic energy loop produces per 8 crystalls 1116 ecells and comsumes 480 of them.

There as it take 8 mins to produce 8 crystals then spare energy created is 79 ecells a min?

have i got it correct?

Thanks

I think you are trying to go about this the hard way. Each SPP can support 9 factories. (mines both silicon and opre are a special case)

There was a link.. and hopefully someone can provide it the name escapes me, that explained this in much more detail. Basically every factory consumes resources at a rate of 1 to 1 eg, I catle ranch produces exactly enough for 1 Cahoona bakery. SPP's and Mines are a special case.

In the case of mines the yeild determines how much ore/silicon is pulled out per cycle. 25 is the base rate to keep the 1 to 1 ratio thing intact, more and its excess less and you need two mines or you will have shortages. Also the higher yeild mines will use more power, so mining a 50 yeild silicon mine would be the exact same thing (energy wise) as mining two 25's.

In the case of SPP's They are the only factory that produces an excess and since everything needs that energy its a good thing. An SPP in a 100% sun zone (higher %'s produce at faster rates but only use cyrtsals at a faster proportional rate) will produce enough crystals for 9 factories. If you subtract out the factories required for the SPP loop than it will support 5 additional factories.

Personally I like to keep mine assigned to a max of 8 since I don't want my factories blinking down the road.

Hope this helps. GL.

Hmmm.......let's see:

For 276 ec the SPP needs 2 xtals.
Your Xtal fab needs for 8 xtals 120 ec, 80 mc and 5 si wafer
You MC fab needs for 10 mc's 15 ec and 3 ab.
Your Ranch needs for 3 ab 15 ec.
Your SI mine needs 24 ec for one si wafer.

So let's add that up:

2 xtals needs 30 ec + 20 mc (=30 ec) + 6 ab (= 30 ec) + 5/4 si wafers (=120/4 =30 ec), in total 120 ec.

Gain 276 -120 = 156 ec.

Where is the bug?

Cheers Euclid

Edit: No bug, just the gain per 276 ecells; it's difficult to convert that into ec/min because the production cycle of SI mines and SPP varies with yield and sun. E.

Easiest way to calculte this is work out the consumption of ECells for each factory per minute.

And conveniently enough (thank you Devs), for every factory in X2 except mines and SPP's this rate is 15 ECells per minute.

A silicone mine on a 26 Yield 'roid consumes energy at 16 ECells per minute.

So your loops consumption on ECells ecah Minute is (15+15+15+16) = 61

In a 100% sun sector, the SPP produces 276 ECells in 116 seconds, thats 276/(116/60) = 143 ECells per minute produced.

So, 143 - 61 = 82 Surplus ECells per minute. Assuming a 26 Yield 'roid and a 100% sun sector.
