Dear members of the X Community,

in light of the catastrophe in the indian ocean, we decided to donate the money collected with selling X boosterpacks (almost 500Euro!) to the organisation "Medecins Sans Frontieres" for victims of the flood.

We rounded up the money to 1000 Euro. We invite everybody who is able to do so, to join us.

All the best wishes for the new year!

-Bernd Lehahn, EGOSOFT

Many thanks for this kind effort, living in the Philippines part of the year where we regularly get earthquakes and typhoons, it's something that we almost take for granted. But something on this scale, no matter where we live, affects us all.

If anyone wants to post a link to the Medecin Sans Frontier website, please feel free. There is currently a sticky for the Red Cross donation link in the English OffTopic Forum.
Kind regards
-IvanT

I should hope so too, that's what the advertising said. :P

The programmers will have to go without pizza for a couple of weeks to make up the rest though, and this is sure to slow down development. I for one, can put up with this little hardship to help my fellow man.

Nice one Egodudes.

im very pleased that egosoft have done htis. It just leaves me wondering if egosoft can donate 1000 euros how much should EA and other big companies donate and how much will they donate?

Very well done though as it all adds up and can help rebuild people's lives.

Indeed this is a very generous thing that you do.

Well done for remaining in the land of the compassionate human.

We are too few and far between these days.
