Graphics Card in X-tension

I was wondering if anyone could help, Xtension isn't working properly. The images on the screen are fragmented. Recently got a new graphics card it is Geforce mx4000. Could anyone tell me if it works? Or if you have had problems yourslef.

dunno m8 could be a driver issue or it could just be the card, as correct me if im wrong its quite an old model now isnt it?

I don't think it's a driver issue as I have got all the updates. Secondly the card isn't old, it is an Nvidia Geforce 4, which is the latest model.

A GF4 is 2 generations behind, plus an MX440 is not even based on a GF4, it was a 2 or a 3 IIRC. You may find that using older drivers will work better with this card.

Actually, a GeForce4 MX is essentially a speed-bumped GeForce 2, and even if it were a GeForce 4 Ti then it's two generations out of date--the FX 5x00 and 6x00 series have replaced it.

In any case, X-Tension is an old game itself, so it should work fine on the card. Does any other game exhibit the same problem?

I have a amd 1900+ and gf4 ti4200 and 512ddr and game runs at 70+ frames per second. I would expect a ti4200 can be had off ebay for abou £20 as i have seen them go for that much.

You can get ATI cards in the low 9000 series, for sub $30 US on e-bay... no good reason to use an old card these days. You could probably even get a new (if low end) x300 for less than that.
