Gameplay are now offering a copy of Farnham's legend with X3 pre-orders.

I DID check, click the English flag in the the upper right then goto X3's page. The german page says the 18th, the English version says the 21st! THATS why I said it was funny.

'afraid I don't have a link Norse Player, it was in the hard copy which I was looking at in my local "Game" store. The staff there pulled out a list and said as far as they knew it was still due for Oct 21st.

Galaxy, that was indeed a DIRECT quote from the magazine. They have a list of "Most Wanted" with comments next to the titles. "May disappear down a developer black hole" was the comment right next to X3.

Yeah they said before that there had been no news on it
(the same month that the screenshots started, new features were explained, the beta was starting)

Basically, anything that PCGamer says to do with X3 is absolute rubbish. Honestly its like they keep checking www.egsoft.com for new updates

You posted link to water probers. Of course they'll get no updates from there. But I keep checking my American gamestop and EBgames here oniline and their date hasnt changed. I know both keep up-to-date on the latest release dates. If one is different than the other I'd go with the date that is the latter, but they still say the 17th.
