Question about X2 Map Editor

Post by Gerald_Mei » Thu, 29. Sep 11, 05:57

 Hmm......I don't know some English and I'll try my best to describe it as clearly as I can......
sorry about that......please give a bit patience......Thanks Very Much.

When I start a new game in X2(V 1.5 Aus). I can see a "New game in custom Galaxy" option. It's a free game without any story line. Then I see an "Example".
I try to find it in X2 Folder and i got it in the "Maps" Folder.
Then I try to edit it and I can't find any tools or options. I try to edit it with Notebook and......well, it work. But i completely can't understant what these numbers mean......
:?: Could somebody tell me how can i edit a ......hmm......map? I'm so curious about that.
Thanks!!!! :D

Ah, I see "The Galaxy Editor". But i can't find any way to download it.
All i get from google is "Starcraft 2 Galaxy Editor". It must be purchased? :!:

You need to ask your question in the MOD section of the forums. You may find an answer there.

BTW I highly doubt you can edit a game file with notepad. But I'm no expert.

The Galaxy Editor is already built into the game. You just have to activate it by typing Thereshallbewings (note the big "T" and the double "l") in the start menu of the game. The Galaxy Editor will then appear in the "Start"-menu.
