I had nothing to do with the naming of the sectors. They are all SF's fault.

your mod sounds really good cant wait to play it .... whens it gonna be done? it looks like your 75% done... so keep it up might have it in a month or so :D

We're coming up with new ideas faster than we can get the work done. I think it will be worth the wait. :) I'm sure it will be done before the 1.4 patch comes out. :D

Today I came up with the idea that I should rewrite all my scripts into text files for easier translation. Fun fun, any German volunteers? :) *looks at his backlog of work* *looks at how many people voted yes on the poll*

I'm not German and although I did it at schooll :( wasn't too hot at it. But I would suggest you put it in a text file as you say then visit Yahoo and let it translate it all in one go for you.

It keeps the formatting and lines and stuff too. :)

I use it for work when sending stuff to our German / French offices and they say the translations are usually OK :wink:

Update: Burianek has agreed to write a custom economy mod just for this mod(which still needs a name, how about patch 1.4 :D )

Wow, sounds great. Just what the game needed to keep me playing for another 3 months.

Will there be a version available that has only the new universe, for people like me who don't want different gameplay?

Yes, the (two) 200+ sector maps will be available separately, however, you'll want at least part of the mod in addition, that will be explained in the readme. For example: 44xxxx file and init. is a must.

I`m german and translation to from english to german should be no prob.
Perhaps you can fix my english texts when i come up with some?

I just want to wave my hand in a show of support for what you are attempting to do. If Egosoft aren't capable of taking the X-BTF universe forward then even more praise for the modders who can.

Wow, this sound great, so just a few quick questions:

01. Should i finish the story before using this mod?

02. Would my stations/factories/ships appear after the mod is installed?

03. Would there be a modified tag on my screen when using this mod?

04. Could you give us more info on this mod? (any changes on Pirates/Xenon/Khaak?)
