We're coming up with new ideas faster than we can get the work done. I think it will be worth the wait. I'm not German and although I did it at schooll wasn't too hot at it. But I would suggest you put it in a text file as you say then visit Yahoo and let it translate it all in one go for you.
It keeps the formatting and lines and stuff too.
I use it for work when sending stuff to our German / French offices and they say the translations are usually OK

Yes, the (two) 200+ sector maps will be available separately, however, you'll want at least part of the mod in addition, that will be explained in the readme. 01. Should i finish the story before using this mod?
02. Would my stations/factories/ships appear after the mod is installed?
03. Would there be a modified tag on my screen when using this mod?
04. Could you give us more info on this mod? (any changes on Pirates/Xenon/Khaak?)
