ok update to 1.4:

only one body has been altered:
10376.bod - invisible object

(that is a problem sincei can't get behind, what these invisible bodies are used for)

partly.

Fighters and TS/TP ships should be no problem.

M6 and bigger are a problem because i can't find out what bodies are used for docking placements (and i do not mean the doors and such)

stations? go away, devil! :D

seriously i have no idea about stations yet.

There is another thread i opened called:

Graphics modding-understanding a scene file.

check there for more and my current problems.

i made a scene file with only bodies 940 and the one i wanna check in it.
then assign it in tships to an open slot (e.g Argon M3 - the old elite)
and then spawn it ingame with editor.

really no big deal.

However , main drawback is i don't know what the invisible ones are used for.

2EarthPilot
You were looking for the body which is for unseen doking point as for M6/M2 so... that is 535` body (at least for Osprey - it is! You can open it with redactor).

With apologies to Earthpilot and the other contributors to the BOD file list, here is a version in MS Excel format...along with a few small bits of information from my own explorations.

If you notice any errors, or have additional information, I'd be happy to update the spreadsheet and post a fresh version.

Enjoy

OK with me.

Maybe that's no bad idea since some people can print it and keep their screen clear so they can concentrate better on their modding object.

I will review your file and tell you about any bugs if they appear.

I can't seem to find it in here; but is there an object for the docking lights for jumpgates? Basically are they alterable or are they hardcoded?

As far as I have researched, those are the standard 78.bod lights with some special triggering. Best guesss would be to have a look at the scene of the gate.

this might be a stupid question, but having looked hard i can't find an answer. Is there a similar list for X3, or is it the same?

Not quite a dead thread.....

Wow earthpilot, you are quite the dedicated scripter or modder or hacker. Whatever they called you back in the x1 days. You waited 2 and a half years to respond to the poster 3 posts above. That requires true dedication to your thread. I commend you for waiting that long as a true sentinel.

as far as I know there isnt, you have to take apart the whole ships.
