Best thing to do is assign an M6 class escort to your TL thats automining and then get out of sector fast. Once the khakka start to attack, that M6 will take care of them. A few M3 class wouldn't hurt either since they are usually faster than an M6. Try using a teladi osprey for your M6 escort since it has the most guns and turrets but add some extra speed updgrades and push it beyond the usual slow poke top speed it has, get it up to something like 300 or 400 top speed and you won't have to worry about it anymore:-)

I am loving this script so far but I ran into a problem. for some reason unknown to me my mining ship is now damaged severely. I read through the thread a little bit so I knew to put it in a sector and stay out while it does its thing, and I also made sure not to view it in the target comp. But for some reason it is now down to 1% hull while it was mining in the oort cloud. If it makes any difference I am using a mercury tanker as the mining ship. It was all I could really afford at that moment.

Any idea why this happened?

*I just noticed this is in the X2 section, darn google bringing this up in a search for X3 autominer :/
i am using X3 TC 2.7

AFAIK, the X3TC has a stock miner command, so X-Universe Forum (or X3TC Spoilers) would be the first place to look/ask from. Or have you really installed a script? Which one?

Sure did, I went to moggy's website that hosts the file (http://www.xai-corp.net/project/XaiCorp-AutoM) and downloaded the latest version for X3.

I did notice the command that comes with the game to automine after I installed moggy's script, though I was not sure if it would mine from only one sector so I left it alone.

Strange. I would have assumed that (a) the Xai script is for X3R and (b) X3R scripts don't even run in X3TC without edits. :gruebel:

Maybe that was the issue, in the meantime I have switched over to using the stock command in the game and it seems to be working without a hitch. But it has only been an hour so who knows.
