It probably won't be included in X2 Terradine because of limitations of the game engine for turrets.

i am playing your mod at the moment. Great mod ! Love it ! Just a few questions though. i will be very thankful if you can answer them !

see in the kha. sectors, once i destroyed the station and all the m1 and m2, will they come back again after a period of time, or are they just gone for good ?

my combat ranking is A2, but when i want to download the kha. infor. from a station it says something about "security .." and i can't download it. how can i get around this ?

and about the kha/Xe shipyard, is it still a secret around here ? i am getting bored and want to try out these ships. Can you tell me or e-mail me about the location of them ! ^_^ chunmingzhao168@yahoo.com

and just one small problem about the firing rate !! i found that Xe m2 can fire much faster than my split m2. any reasons why ?? and kha's m1 and m2 are useless !! (their lasers are .... ^_^ ) can you make a few changes on it to balance the game.

Ladies and gentlement, someone who has only partially read the information.


Okay: Since X3 is pretty much here, I might as well release the shipyard secret for those who haven't found it.

The Top Secret shipyard is located in Lady Seto's Retreat. When you come out of the gate, turn left and look in the distance for a nebula. Yeah, that grey blob a billion trillion clicks out there is the large version radar blocking nebula. Both of the specialty shipyards are there.

The Khaak should respawn if the respawn code for them works. Beware.


Your combat ranking has nothing to do with the clearance to buy the khaak info. That requires race ranking.

Now, about firing rates. Have you stopped to look at your weapons loadouts? Your Xe M2 obviously has alpha or beta PPCs while the Split one has Gamma PPCs. The fire rates for each vary because I made different attributes for them. As for Khaak starships... don't worry. They're really only there to add character to Terradine and give the Xenon someone to fight in the offsector area.

thanks for the tips !! i am going to try those ships today ! ^_^ another question about your mod though !!

see for the "save the queen's daughter" mission, i have all the wares needed, but when i look at my log. it doesn't mention where should i deliver them to !! i have tried KE and a few sectors around it, but non of the trading dock will accept it !! ?? can you tell me what should i do now ??

PS: i 've also looked at my log, there is no mentioning of "mission failed"

The problem with the Menelau's Daughter mission stems from the changes made to the universe. The mission is hardcoded to work only in a sector at a very specific location in the X universe, and unfortunately, Terradine does not have a sector in the required location to complete that mission, so you will have to simply ignore it. There is, unfortunately, no better way around it.

Great job AdmiralTigerclaw! Im very excited to try this out. After reading the first post of this thread, Im a bit confused on what to download. I hope Im downloading the right one, since this is 54MB!

I have a few questions, if you dont mind.
- Is this compatible with X2 1.4 + bonus pack?
- this is a complete modification?
- replaces X2's original universe?

1) Yes.
2) Not really. Most ships are the same as in X2 vanilla but ship specs have been heavily modified.
3) Yes, it's a totally new map, much bigger with an improved economic system.

Honestly, it's an excellent modification.

Im having some problems though. I found these two hidden Argon shipyard and Argon wharf in Lady Seto sector (sorry I forgot the sector's full name, its where the "demon-something" equipment dock is). I think it's one of the hidden sectors, I accidentally found it when I saw 3 gates inside a sector where there are only 2 connecting lines in the universe map.

Whenever I dock with any of those two stations, my game hangs up. My computer still runs though (I guessed because my network still has access to the internet). but I cant switch back to windows via alt-tab or crlt-alt-del or windowskey-e... or any other winxp shortcut that pops up a new window to force me switch windows.

also, the USAF planes are all black. is this normal?

2nd also, i want to use the freejump and hyperjump in X2 vanilla. how do i do this?

No, it's a whole new (bigger, improved) map, you can't load savegames from the standard game.
are there XI missions in this mod?
Yes XI missions should be available.

There is some Khaak sectors, they aren't hidden, and are connected to the rest of the universe :)
