SETA Idea

Post by retro19 » Fri, 20. Oct 06, 20:44

I think that while galaxy long distance travel having to press the SETA button every time after crossing a gate gets a bit annoying. The script could store info weather the SETA was on before going through the gate or not. If it was then it will automaticly engage SETA mode. Or just adding a button to the option settings "automatic SETA after jump on/off".

If there is such a script already I would be grateful for a link.

I can think of one way to do it, but it involves voice command software.

What you do, is you program the voice commander to recognize 'Entering System' and have it apply the SETA key. And since that software has an off-on toggle command, you could switch it on. All you need then, is to have your volume up enough, and your mic in a good spot.

You could probably set your input to be mono/stereo mix (You have to have it one notch above muted for it to not become distorted) and just have your voice command software pick up on that. It will, too. Mic isn't needed.

u dont even need to use voice, u could simple have a script that detects when the sector is changes write to a log file.

then you can check for that log file and do whats needed

Know how to best the X-Universe by one shot?
Push the little 'REBOOT' button on your PC, that should do it...
Try it... it works for me... believe it... it works...
