Not only does he not understand the basics of economics, but he does not understand the basics of addition and multiplication.

haha, should've got their name in there...that line alone would have bought them a few customersNational spokesman for the dealership chain was quoted as saying "We are just glad that the idiot didn’t have time to run with his 'test drive 5 cars, get one free loyalty stamp card' campaign.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell!

He sure knows how to make the customer happy.
There is a tax deduction for promotional activities.
Be interesting to run the numbers.
But I'm afraid he didn't do what is requierd.
If you give clients generic calendars, that’s considered a gift. You can only deduct $25 per year per recipient. But if you imprint those calendars with your business name, they’re considered advertising. Now the full cost of producing and distributing the calendars is tax deductible. The same goes for other items, such as pens, sunshades for vehicles, clothing and other promotional giveaways
Now if "Porsche" is the actual owner of the dealership ? They may be able to retrieve a large portion of the monies. As the Porsche name is on the vehical in a perminate way.
An argument for the lawers.

You could say, he was the stupidest man never to exist though... maybe.
Yes. Stuffed.co.nz is a new Zealand Humor site so most of the stuff on there is just for kicks and not actual news. Not to be confused with Stuff.co.nz which is an actual New Zealand news site.MGA wrote:Pity, though I thought something was up. Isn't co.nz a New Zeland page?LeeE wrote:heh, they ruin all our fun
Darn, the one time I didn't check snopes. Thought it sounded too good to be true.-TD-13- wrote:Sorry to say, but this story is an Urban LegendJericho wrote:Is this guy the stupidest man on the face of the planet?

Any excuse to bash the U.S.. The hate that exudes from Europe and the British Isles is incredible. I always thought I'd like to visit, but now, I don't think so. I'm afraid I'd get clubbed to death if anyone found out I was an American.
The new PC I just built for myself:

It'll do until I can upgrade the graphics card.

Just as the stereotype of Americans being stupid is inaccurate, so is the stereotype of Europeans universally "hating" Americans. The original story could have been set in any country without it affecting the humour, and only one person in this thread (OK, two including yourself) have chosen to pick up on the fact that it happened to be set in the US.
