Lucky Me! I found an Autosave in Heron's Nebula and it loaded just fine, only ten minutes before my manual saves. Seems there is something to the Argon Prime link.

Same problem here on Windows 7 after 3.0 update. All saves are pre v3.0. Latest save was a manual save today in Argon Prime, and it crashes on load. Previous save was an autosave also in Argon Prime, and it crashes. 2nd previous save was an autosave in Legends Home, and it loads fine.

When it crashes, it logs an Event ID 1000 Application Error (level Error) and an Event ID 1001 (level Information) in the Windows Application event log:

Very similar story here - running X3AP on Steam, vanilla + bonus pack. Just got the 3.0 update 30min ago and 90% of savegames crash. Most of the crashing ones are from Light Of Heart or Argon Prime. Found a working save from Cloudbase South East.

Same thing, Argon Prime saves did not work. Luckily had one save from another sector which works and it's only 1 hour earlier, Rhy's Desire.

X3AP 3.0a is now availalbe to download from STEAM and the NoSteam.exe from our download section.

This fixes the crash when loading certain savegames.

I worked really hard getting argon race rank status back after a year of clobbering them where ever I saw them. Until I was in enduring light or wastelands steaming along with building & what not when I went to load a manual save & corrupted save file dialog box... & to make matters like this even worse I'm encountering this on the MAC platform!!!!!!!!!!!! So I know I'll get... Oh well never mind
Any help would be appreciated

@ phantomrock2 please start a new thread as I already advised above and give us some info to go on. Posting a new and rather different problem in a thread about an issue that is resolved will not help you.
