[Solved/Outdated] Running AP with downgraded drivers via atiumdag.dll

Post by ShadowOfNone » Sat, 27. Jun 15, 00:59

Edit: I solved the problem by using RadeonPro.

1. I unchecked all cores except for Core #2

2. I checked both "Disable Areo" and "Force High Priority"

3. I got a steady 60-100 fps both in and out of menus!

I hope this helps people with fps problems

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Old:
I downloaded the atiumdag.dll file to fix the unbearable framerate drop when I open a menu. However, when I open the game, It says:
"Error opening video. Check your display settings!"
The file is currently in my Terran Conflict steam folder.
If there is a fix or another way to stop menu lag, I would love to hear it. I am using a lot of mods, although they ran just fine without the .dll, and I can list them if you want. Thanks.
We can't give you much help until you give us the information requested in the sticky at the top of this forum.
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.
I am pretty sure that old dll fix only works well for the AMD HD series cards and not so much the R7/R9 ones. I could be wrong though ...
:( I was worried that might be the case. However, I was messing with RadeonPro and managed to remove the menu lag... at the cost of horrible input lag and poor framerate. Is there a specific configuration for RadeonPro that will work (because a lot of people have said it does?) My computer has 6 cores, for reference.
That might be worth a question in the Off Topic forum maybe with a title along the lines of: 'Best RadeonPro profile for X games & AMD R7/R9 series gpus?' Far more players with AMD set-ups will see it there than in Tech Sp.
Good to see you resolved it. Aero has that lag effect on X Rebirth too as said here.
