Script editor access 'cheat code'.

My apologies if this has been posted before :), but...

The script editor can be enabled by typing "Thereshallbewings" (note capital) while flying though space. You should hear a ping when it is enabled. No menus should open (if they do, you've done it wrong). The actual editor can then be activated from the command menu (Shift-C).

And no, this isn't a joke. How they expected us to find THAT I don't know. Interestingly, it's a quote from the 'famous quotes' which are displayed when starting the game (this one is from Leonardo da Vinci). Maybe there are others... (galaxy editor?).

Right...off to mess with scripts now :D.

Hehe, you can use the ship creation functions to create any ship you like. I was messing around with a Xenon J just now (carrier). Bridge looks damn cool. Except docking launch bay doesn't work right and you can't escape (boom) :).

Now to try out the annoying purple ones...

shouldn't you be able to just uninstall and reinstall to fix any problems that you may of accidental envoked upon yourself?

easier to just copy and paste your whole x2 directory and if you stuff anything up just overide your messed up files with your original copied ones.

I put this in "Thereshallbewings"and it dont work no matter how many times I do it.

To acces script editor for n00bs:

Fly outside an station.
Close any menu you have open.
Press the following key(-combination)s in the corerct order
Shift+T
h
e
r
e
s
h
a
l
l
b
e
w
i
n
g
s

Notice how the combination shift+t stops any of the keys from having effects like opening menu's ect.

open the command console shit+c
press "s"
Voila script editor.

My right shift can't be working that good, so I tried the left shift button and it worked ok.

So now I have the editor.

its work but not on a 1.0 patched save game has to be a new 1.1

Cool. But now the question; How do we load scripts into editor? The help menu says press 'l' (that's 'L') to get a script list, but nothing happens.

I have backed up all scripts and saved games to another folder in the event of X-Universal implosion through my infantile god-like script editing, but if I can't EDIT a script, I guess the universe is safe, eh?
