| What should I do if I experience continuing freezes, lags or a sound-loop in-game? |

Although not a crash as such, if your game tends to freeze, lag badly or get stuck in continuous sound loops while playing such that you have to exit the game through Ctrl/Alt/Del, Alt/F4 or a Restart etc then submit a request for advice and assistance on the Egosoft Technical and Support Forum for the relevant game. (For X3TC or X3AP, you must have registered your copy of one of X3TC, X3AP or the SuperBox with these forums to post there.) Please supply all information and the current DxDiag asked for in the first Announcement on that forum.
Additionally if you can, please give details of what actions you and other newly-tasked ships involved were taking at the time, whether you noticed the actions or appearance of other game objects in-sector to be unusual, and importantly whether your game is or ever has been modified from just the official 'vanilla' gamefiles and relevant Bonus Packs.
Please also report any changes such as new additions or updates you have made to your game, system, or system software (such as Operating System or Anti-Virus, system hardware and drivers, etc.) just prior to you first having the issues.
It is unlikely that Windows will have generated any error messages for this type of problem.
