Unless you are the board admin or a forum moderator you can only edit or delete your own posts.
You can edit a post by clicking the 'Edit' button in the upper right of the relevant post. If someone has already replied to the post, then when you return to the topic you will find a small piece of text output below the post that lists the number of times you edited it. You will also see a 'modified' logo under your user information on the left side of the post. The footer and logo only appear if there are already replies to your post. They also will not appear if moderators or administrators edit the post (although they should leave a message stating what they altered and why).
To delete one of your posts use the 'X' button at the upper right of the relevant post. Note that normal users cannot delete posts once there are replies.
