You landed on this page because we have detected a crash in "X4 - Foundations"
The crash is caused by a 3rd-party application from a company called "Avest" (according to a user report it's some "cryptograpgic protection software"), injecting itself into the X4 process. To fix the crash, we suggest you uninstall the software.
If you need/want to keep the software, you need to make sure that it won't inject itself into the game. According to a user report, there are two exclusion lists which the game executable (X4.exe) needs to be added to in order to ensure that application doesn't inject itself into the game.
Please note that we cannot give any guarantee that these instructions work and in general suggest to contact the support of that 3rd-party application.
Be aware that if you actually intended to install the well known antivirus software, this is not it! The proper company for the antivirus software is called: "AvAst" (not AvEst)!
Activity
I added Disable Extension Points to "On" in Windows Security -> App & Browser Control -> Exploit Protection -> Program Settings.
It works now.

I will take a look. I need Avest on my machine so I will check these exclusion lists.
